Government authority located in Savannah, Georgia; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for nurse staffing services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide nurse staffing services as needed (excluding holidays) to cover absences or vacations of full time Board nurses to the government authority located in Savannah, GA.
- This includes both RNs and LPNs. All RN's and LPN's providing services under a resulting contract must have a current State of Georgia license, Background Criminal Check Record, and CPR Certification. These services will be requested in advance whenever possible, but there may be emergency situations when the request may only be one or two hours before services are required.
1. Provide nursing care for sudden illness or injury by operating the school health room.
2. Conduct mass screenings and other appraisal activities to assess the health status of students.
3. Promote communicable disease control through exclusion/re-admission authorization of students having a contagious disease or condition.
4. Assist students to achieve optimal level of wellness through individual instruction.
5. Work with parents, care providers, and community resources to meet students' health needs.
6. Review and assess student immunization records for required vaccinations.
7. Assume responsibility for their personal continuing education and professional development.
8. Secure and maintain their first aid and CPR (preferably instructor level) certification.
9. Comply with directions of the District's Lead Nurse regarding nursing practices.
10 Perform other duties as necessary for the effective and safe operation of the school site within the District.
