[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide Cleaning and Lining Service to clean and cementitious spin cast water mains of various sizes and locations The project includes cutting, removing, and replacing pipe, including the furnishing of sleeves, cutting, removing and replacing in-line gate valves and defective branch-line gate valves operating all gate valves, both in-line and on branches, to prevent water from entering pipe sections when lining is in progress, all water main cleaning equipment, properly adjusted so as not to damage the interior of water mains, valves, fittings, maincocks, service connections, etc. Including caps for the effluent end of the sections where hydraulic cleaning is specified; sandbagging or other necessary work for collecting, separating, and disposing of material removed from the interior of the pipe during the hydraulic cleaning of the mains and for disposal of cleaning water and material removed from pipe, removing pavement, excavating, bracing, and backfilling access pits for the installation of, cleaning, and lining equipment and making temporary pavement repairs and permanent pavement repairs; installing steel plates over access holes, remove all temporary water lines and service connections to all building affected by shutdowns and all required traffic control to the government authority located in Macon, GA.
(2) A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on April 9, 2019.
